Washer Door Will Not Open: When you set the washer to run a cycle it will normally fill full of water and start to run. The door on most washing machines will lock once the cycle is started. The main reason that a washing machine door will not open is due to water that is still in the drum. The door remains locked in until it is empty. You may not be able to see the water but if it is there, then you should run the spin and drain cycle again to drain out any remaining water and open the lock. Dryer Will Not Start: This is a frustrating problem to have. You usually have a load of wet clothes that need to dry. You want to check your settings to be sure that you have your dryer set correctly. If it is turned too far it will not register that it should start. Another reason that the dryer will not start is that the door is not closed. They are manufactured to only start when the door is latched shut.
