For a safe and effective all-purpose household cleaner that can be used on your appliances, take an empty spray bottle and combine the following:
* White Vinegar – 1 cup
* Rubbing Alcohol – 1 cup
* Water – 1 cup
* Liquid Dish Soap – 3 to 5 drops
* Optional: Lemon Essential Oil – 3 to 5 drops
Being antimicrobial and able to power through grease, this formula is safe to use on most appliances with metal, glass, plastic and enamel surfaces. However, do not use this solution for any surface that is wood or marble; using caution to not over-spray if you have any of these surfaces near your appliances. For inside refrigerators and freezers, use hot water.

How to Clean Baked-On Oven Grease Stains

The challenging stains and crusties in the oven are difficult and the commercial cleaners have strong fumes that are uncomfortable to work with. Sprinkle baking soda on oven stains then spray with the universal cleaning solution you concocted. Allow it to sit until the baking soda stops to foam. With a steel wool pad, lightly scrub it down and wipe way any lingering residues with a clean, damp cloth.

Hard Water Mineral Stains on Refrigerators & Other Appliances

On the appliances that uses water; it is easy for the hard water mineral deposits to buildup. It appears crusty and white and is exceptionally hard to remove. You can use either concentrated white or apple cider vinegar to easily remove the buildup. Take all the infected removable parts and submerge these in a bowl of vinegar; parts that do not detach spray vinegar on the surface generously. Allow the vinegar to sit for 10 minutes. With a stiff scouring pad gently scrub to remove the mineral deposits. Rinse with water to remove debris.

How to Remove Odor from Dishwasher or Washing Machine

Dishwashers and washing machines are often used daily, and even in some cases multiple times a day. After continual use, odors often develop. By using baking soda and vinegar you can eliminate the odors.
Dishwashers – Run the dish-washing cycle with an empty load and with the detergent cup filled with baking soda.
Washing machines – Run a cycle without a load and combine 1/2 cup of baking soda and 1 cup of white or apple cider vinegar to the drum; set the washing machine at the highest water level and the temperature to the hottest setting.
